    by Kalliopi Lemos
    For the Onassis Cultural Center in New York, Lemos is presenting Perpetual Transitions, yet another evocative installation of boats, suspended as if they were sailing across the gallery's spacious atrium with its fortuitous waterfall.

    The Road to Mistra
    by Stephen Antonakos
    The Road to Mistra (2009) is a new, site-specific work in neon by Stephen Antonakos (American, b., 1926, lives and works in New York). His art has been the subject of more than 100 solo exhibitions, including a 50-year retrospective, and more than 250 group shows.

    Horizon (2009) is a new, site-specific work in steel and glass by Costas Varotsos (Greek, b., 1955, lives and works in Greece). Varotsos is renowned for his public art installations worldwide; his art has been the subject of exhibitions at the Benaki Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Athens and the Venice Biennale (Greek Pavilion 1999) among others.

    Works by Photographer Marilyn Bridges Reveal Majesty of Crete's Ancient History
    The Onassis Cultural Center presents an exhibition of photographs of Minoan archaeological sites by photographer Marilyn Bridges, renowned for her black-and-white aerial and ground photographs of ancient settings. The exhibition will be presented in the Olympic Tower Atrium - concurrently with the Center’s major exhibition From the Land of the Labyrinth: Minoan Crete, 3000 - 1100 BC.

    The exhibition Re-Considering Color: Postmodern Classical II is organized by Dr Harriet F. Senie, Director of the Master's Program in Art History and Museum Studies at The City College of New York, working with students in the program, and made possible by a grant by the Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation (USA).
